Apply to Keene State College

Your Step-by-Step Guide to Becoming an Owl

Now is the best time to apply to Keene State! The sooner we receive your application and all supporting documents, the sooner you’ll get a decision, which allows you to make your choice faster and begin the financial aid process earlier.

Whether you’re a first-year college student or you are transferring to Keene State, we’re here to help make each step of becoming an Owl as easy as possible. SAT and ACT scores are no longer needed to be considered for acceptance.

Submit your application by June 1 for the Fall 2024 semester.

Step 1: Submit Your Application

Step 2: Send Your Transcripts

  • If you are a first-year applicant, you must submit your official high school transcript.
  • If you are a transfer student (because you’ve earned 13 or more credits that can be applied to college), submit a final high school transcript in addition to official college transcripts if you have earned 26 credits or less in college credits. (Due to federal requirements.)
  • If you are a home-schooled applicant, submit a transcript containing a list of coursework with descriptions. Admissions at Keene State is handled very similarly for homeschoolers as it is for traditionally schooled students. We actively seek out and encourage homeschoolers to apply!
    • Students are expected to submit a transcript containing a list of coursework with descriptions. Students must meet all state regulations per their home state and in most cases, the homeschool diplomas are accepted.
    • Please make an appointment with Peg Richmond, Director of Admissions if you have any questions regarding applying and enrolling at Keene State College.
